Tomorrow is Christmas Eve day. We are excited for the festivities to start. I finished everything today. I just hope I don't run out of wrapping paper. Then I will have to fight the crowds tomorrow again. We are going to Brad's brothers house tomorrow for yummy dinner then his sisters house on Sunday. I am excited to see our kids faces on Christmas morning. To all my family I will miss you. We are spread a little thinner this year with Lara in Kalispell. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving

We had an eventful thanksgiving. Wednesday night our dog got hit by a car and the car took off. Her foot is pretty mangled. Luckily it was only her foot. I sat outside with the bleeding dog for about and hour before Brad got home. He took her to the vet $$$. She had surgery on her foot to repair it and came home drugged and very out of it. I felt so bad about the whole thing. I am not much of an animal lover so all this was totally out of my comfort zone. We didn't feel like we could leave her home all day so we took her with us to Brad's parents. Long drive with a stinky dog in the van. She is doing a little better today much more like herself. We are afraid to leave her alone too long for fear she will bite off her bandages and rip out the stitches. The kids were pretty shook up. Since they love their dog so much. Sorry to Mark and Anne Marie. We had to cancel on them for today. They were kind enough to invite us to their cabin for the day. Have fun you guys. Anyway thanksgiving dinner was yummy. I discovered pomegranate pie. It was delicious.

When it rains it pours

It sure seems like when something goes wrong in your life that it always comes in multiples. Today my car is dead and I have to have it towed and fixed. My oven broke last night and hopefully can be fixed. Catie had strep throat and Sarah is barking. I hope that is the end of it for now. I am greatful for these small trial. I think I can manage them. It is just a pain in the rear. I now have to spend part of my day at the car dealership. Hopefully they can give me a rental. I had to call my neighbor to take the kids this morning. Thank goodness for good neighbors. I hope the rest of you are having a better day then I am. Maybe I will get myself some Cafe Rio on the way home. And a big Dr. Pepper. Isn't it sad that food can always make it better. Until next time. Goodbye

Birthday month

There is one more birthday to go in November. Lara is on Friday. Right now we are the same age. I turned 36 on Sunday and she won't be 37 until Friday. My poor mom. We had fun growing up though. We did most things together. We even roomed together at BYU. Yes we both introduced each other to our husbands and three years ago we had babies only 12 hours apart. I love you Lara I am glad you are my sister.

My busy weekend is over and now I can move on to catching up on my house. I feel like if I don't have Saturdays that everything falls apart. I am trying to get my kids to realize the value of picking up after themselves. I feel some days that it is a loosing battle. Maybe someday it will click. In the meantime. I do a lot of nagging and reminding.

I keep promising some pictures. I have some cute ones of Sarah's birthday. We had a little mini party for her with her little friend Haley. The are so cute together. I am also trying to figure out how to put Catie's dance recital on. I haven't figured that one out yet. I am working on it. Well that's all for now. Have a great day.

The snow is gone

Just as fast as the snow comes here is Utah it is gone. I am hoping for some more. It reminds me of home. I am going to lunch today with a few friends for my birthday. I am really excited. My birthday is not until Sunday so I will be celebrating early. Sarah's birthday is tomorrow. She will be three and binki free. We lost the last binki and she is now free of it. She has slept all night since we got rid of it. I feel like a new woman.

Our primary program is on Sunday. It will be a busy weekend because of it. I will be glad when it is all done. Then I have to do sharing time. I think I will colapse after church. That's all for now. I am trying to be better at blogging. Until next time.

We are still alive

I know it has been a while since I last posted. I have been a terrible slacker. We are busy here in Cedar Hills. My kids keep me running an hopping. We have just finished soccer so life will settle down. We are now involved in the stake road show. Catie, Annie and Nathan all have parts. Annie and Nathan are both fat cows. Catie like to tease Annie the she is a fat cow. Annie just ignores her. Catie got her first report card for Junior High. She made the high honor roll. We are very proud of her. She is loving Junior High and Young Women. She is officially 13. So hard to believe that I have a 13 year old. Annie started dance again this year. We had to pull her out last year and she was not happy. She loves to dance and is very good at it. Brad just got home from China. He was able to come home a few days early so we were greatful for that. He is still plugging away at his job and greatful to have one.

we had our first snow fall today. The kids played in it before school. I will post pictures next time. Stay tuned it won't be a year and a half until I blog again.
